Our Team
Professional Guidance
Recovery is a personal journey, and having the right support makes a significant difference. Our experienced counselors and medical staff are here to provide individual therapy, family support, and aftercare planning to help you navigate life after treatment with confidence.
Recovery is not a single leap. It is a series of small, steady steps, and you never take a single one of them alone.
Reaching out
It begins with one honest conversation, on your terms, at any hour. We listen first, explain how things work, and help you take the next step without any pressure.
Assessment
A doctor and a counsellor sit with you to understand your history, your health, and what you have been carrying. From that, we shape a plan that fits your life, not a template.
Medical detox
When the body needs to clear a substance, we do it under medical supervision, so withdrawal stays safe and as gentle as it can be.
Residential care
Staying with us in an all-women space, you work through the roots of it with counselling, therapy, yoga, and the calm of a steady daily rhythm.
Stepping back
As you find your feet, care eases into regular sessions while you return to home, work, and family, so the change holds in ordinary life.
Staying well
Recovery does not end at the gate. We stay close with follow-ups, support groups, and relapse-prevention care through the months that matter most.

Drug & Alcohol Treatment Options for Women
We offer complete levels of care at Vaishalya Wellness, a dedicated de-addiction and rehabilitation centre for women in Himachal Pradesh. Our personalised programmes treat a wide range of substance use disorders, from alcohol dependence and drug addiction to prescription medication misuse, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. As one of the leading nasha mukti kendras for women in Himachal Pradesh, we specialise in effective, evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual.
Our centre is a safe haven for women struggling with anxiety and depression alongside addiction, as well as complex conditions such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Every woman receives compassionate, confidential care in a peaceful environment that supports true and lasting healing.
Alcohol
Detox
Our medically supervised alcohol detox helps women withdraw safely, with round-the-clock monitoring and symptom management in a calm, private setting that lays the foundation for lasting recovery.
Drug
De-Addiction
Our programme supports women recovering from ganja, bhang, charas, and prescription misuse. Under 24/7 care, we combine medical detox with counselling and therapy for a structured path to freedom.
Opioid &
Chitta Detox
Chitta, smack, heroin, and opium addiction has deeply affected women across Himachal Pradesh. Our opioid detox provides medically managed withdrawal, relapse-focused therapy, and emotional support in complete privacy.
Synthetic
Drugs
MDMA, ecstasy, ice, and methamphetamine are increasingly common among young women in India. Our treatment addresses both the physical dependence and the psychological pull, through medical care and therapy.
Relapse
Prevention
Recovery does not end when treatment does. Through one-on-one therapy, family counselling, and structured follow-up, our aftercare programme gives women the tools to stay sober long after leaving.
Anxiety &
Mental Health
Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia often sit beneath addiction. Our dual diagnosis care treats both together, so healing reaches the cause and not only the symptoms.
The 12-Step Program
We incorporate the proven principles of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) into our daily routine. Taking recovery one day at a time helps you build personal accountability and connect with a supportive community of women.

Recovery at Vaishalya, in the words of the women who lived it.
We looked for a proper rehabilitation centre for women for months. What made us pick Vaishalya was that it takes only females. That much greenery around me, and women counsellors to talk to every single day, changed something. I am in a far better place now.

Questions & Answers
The questions
we hear most
Choosing a place to heal is a big decision, and it comes with a lot of questions. Here are honest answers to the ones women and families ask us most, long before they ever pick up the phone.
Talk to us
It is both, in the way that matters. "Nasha Mukti Kendra" is simply the everyday Hindi term for a de-addiction centre, and yes, we help women stop using alcohol, drugs, and other substances. But we run as a wellness-based rehabilitation centre, not a lock-up. That means medically supervised detox where it is needed, followed by counselling, therapy, yoga, and a structured daily routine that treats the reasons behind the addiction, not just the substance. If you have searched for a "Nasha Mukti Kendra for women" and a "women's rehabilitation centre" and wondered whether they are two different things, they usually are not. The difference is mostly in what the sign board says.
Yes, this is a women-only (ladies) rehabilitation centre with a largely female staff, so every resident is cared for in an all-women environment. Safety is the first thing most families ask about, and for good reason. Many women who come into rehab have lived through domestic violence, abuse, or trauma, and a mixed-gender centre can feel unsafe or exposing. Here the living areas, counselling rooms, and night supervision are set up so a woman can speak openly, rest, and recover without having to worry about who is around her.
Admission usually begins with a phone call or a visit, followed by an assessment. During the assessment, our team (a doctor or psychiatrist, plus a counsellor) understands the person's history, the substance involved, her physical health, and any mental health concerns. Based on that, we suggest whether residential treatment or outpatient support fits better, and we explain the programme, the likely duration, and the cost before anything is finalised. A woman can come on her own, or a family can bring a loved one. You can reach us any time on 8219474936; we are open 24/7, so there is no wrong hour to call.
We treat alcohol addiction, drug addiction (including charas, ganja, heroin or smack, chitta, cocaine, and prescription medicine misuse), tobacco dependence, and certain behavioural addictions. Our drug rehabilitation and alcohol de-addiction programmes are built around each woman rather than run off a single template. As a de-addiction centre for women, we often see cases that are tangled up with mental health struggles, and we treat both together rather than separately. Every case starts with an individual assessment, because a woman drinking to cope with grief needs a very different plan from someone who became dependent on painkillers after an illness.
Yes, we provide dedicated treatment for chitta addiction. Recovery begins with a medically supervised detox to safely manage withdrawal, followed by intensive psychological counselling, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention planning. Our holistic, women-only environment ensures that each resident gets the complete physical and emotional support needed to overcome chitta dependence.
Both. Addiction and mental health rarely travel alone, especially for women. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, and the after-effects of trauma often sit underneath the substance use, and treating one while ignoring the other usually ends in relapse. Our team provides what is called dual diagnosis care, meaning psychiatric support and psychological counselling run alongside the de-addiction treatment. And if a woman comes to us mainly for a mental health concern rather than addiction, we can help with that too, so we work as much as a mental health centre for women as a de-addiction one.
Counselling here is a mix of one-on-one sessions and group therapy, led by trained counsellors and psychologists. In individual sessions, a woman works through the triggers, emotions, and life events tied to her addiction, often using approaches like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Group sessions let residents open up with others going through the same thing, which cuts the isolation and shame that keep so many women silent. There is no forcing and no judgement; the pace follows the person.
Most residential programmes run between 30 and 90 days, though the exact length depends on the individual. A short detox and stabilisation may take one to two weeks, while the fuller residential programme that includes counselling and therapy commonly runs 30 to 90 days. Long-term alcohol or drug dependence sometimes needs more, and some women stay three to six months. Recovery does not end on discharge day either, so we plan for months of follow-up and aftercare on top of the residential stay.
Costs depend on the type of room, the level of medical care, and the length of stay. Our treatment cost is ₹25,000 per month. We keep our fees transparent and explain exactly what is included (detox, counselling, accommodation, food, and therapy) before admission, so there are no surprises later.
Yes. What happens during treatment stays private, and confidentiality is taken seriously. For many women the fear of people finding out is the single biggest reason they put off getting help, so identities and records are protected carefully and nothing is shared without consent. Being tucked away in Himachal Pradesh, rather than in your own neighbourhood, also means far less chance of running into someone you know.
Yes, family involvement is encouraged, and we schedule visits along with family counselling sessions. Addiction affects the whole household, and recovery holds up far better when relatives understand what their loved one is going through and how to support her afterwards. Visiting rules do vary (some centres allow weekly visits, others keep the first few weeks quieter so a settled routine can take hold).
This is one of the most common worries women have, and it stops many from seeking help at all. Support for mothers differs from centre to centre, and some women's rehabs make arrangements so children can be looked after during treatment. We work with each mother to plan for her children's care, because being a parent should never be the reason a woman keeps suffering.
Our team includes qualified psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, nurses, and trained support staff, many with years of experience in addiction and women's mental health. Some also serve as peer counsellors, women who have recovered themselves and understand the journey from the inside. Whichever centre you are considering, ask about staff credentials and the patient-to-counsellor ratio; a good women's rehab will answer that openly.
Residents stay in clean, comfortable, homely accommodation with proper meals, and the day follows a steady routine. A typical day includes morning yoga and meditation, counselling and therapy sessions, structured activity and rest, nutritious food, and quiet time in the evening. The hill setting makes it feel as much a wellness centre as a rehab, with fresh air, greenery, and calm that many women find soothing after the chaos that addiction leaves behind.
Recovery continues after discharge, so we provide aftercare and relapse-prevention support rather than waving goodbye at the gate. This usually includes follow-up counselling, connection to support groups such as AA or NA meetings, periodic check-ins, and continued guidance for the family. The first few months back in ordinary life are when the risk of relapse is highest, so this ongoing support is a core part of treatment, not an add-on.
A rehabilitation centre in Himachal Pradesh offers something a "rehab centre near me" search often cannot: distance, calm, and privacy. The clean mountain air, the greenery, and the slower pace give a woman room to heal away from the triggers, the gossip, and the daily stress of her usual surroundings. What sets a good women's centre apart from a generic one, though, is not the location alone. It is the all-women environment, the trauma-informed care, and treatment built around how addiction and mental health actually show up in women. When you compare centres, look past the "best rehab" claims and ask directly about staff qualifications, safety, confidentiality, and aftercare.

Healing begins right
at the very foundation.
We will walk with you through every step.
There is no single method that works for every woman. We work in four ways: individual therapy, group therapy, online counselling, and residential care for women who need to step away from everything for a while.
Each one is explained in full. How CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based relapse prevention are used, and when we reach for each. What a private session looks like from the inside, and how a group is held so that it stays safe. And honestly, what the first day, the first week, and the months that follow look like in women's drug rehab.
